Brian O'Keefe
Founder and Managing Director

Since establishing the company in the 80’s, Brian and the O’Keefe & Partners team have played a significant role in advancing the performance of not for profit organisations.

Brian is one of a handful of professionals in the field with four decades of philanthropy, corporate citizenship, and not-for-profit management experience.

He commissioned Australia's first-ever research into the trends of giving, an initiative that solidified his reputation as an industry pioneer and drew high regard and praise from the corporate world, the media and the Third Sector.

To this day, Giving Trends™ continues to provide benchmark data and insights to industry leaders. Brian’s commitment to the industry, entrepreneurial approach and ground-breaking tactics have positioned O’Keefe & Partners as the market leader.

Julie Johnson
Managing Partner

Julie joined the firm in the mid 90’s, after successful managing Red Nose Day. Since the company’s inception in 1985, O’Keefe & Partners has helped pioneer and redefine innovative marketing within the not for profit and corporate sector.

Julie has spearheaded this modernisation, becoming one of the country’s leading authorities on philanthropy and business-community engagement. With her intimate knowledge of raw market data combined with highly sophisticated marketing skills and in-depth campaign knowledge, Julie has carved an enviable reputation for managing both sides of the philanthropic coin!

From maximising results for charities such as World Vision, The Salvation Army, Red Cross to leveraging the best possible outcomes for blue-chip corporate contributors including Tattersalls, Microsoft, Westpac, and Alcatel, Julie’s experience and knowledge is unsurpassed. She has held voluntary positions and is passionate about the sector and sport.

Ellana Aarons
Operations and Development Director

Ellana and her team specialise in delivering marketing and recruitment solutions. In recent times, her team have been engaged by companies such as Tabcorp, Myer, Angus & Robertson and Coles Group and various community organisations such as the Emmy Monash, Keep Australia Beautiful, Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation, Alannah & Madeline Foundation, Caritas Australia and the Festival of Jewish Cinema.

A meticulous approach to data research and analysis provides Ellana with a unique edge to her marketing expertise, ensuring the campaigns our client services team design and implement are based on sound strategy and marketplace intelligence.

Ellana provides clients with thorough and comprehensive expertise across all campaign phases, from the tender process right through to post-analysis. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) degree and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree from Monash University. Prior to joining O’Keefe & Partners, Ellana worked in marketing and product management primarily responsible for product performance and marketing accountability.

Keith Martin
Senior Consultant

Prior to his professional fundraising career Keith worked with the likes of Mobil, Xerox and IBM in Sales. Early in his career Keith was also exposed to social welfare working as a District Officer in the then Department of Native Welfare in Western Australia. After moving to Wodonga Victoria, Keith was in a position to combine his interests in welfare and marketing when he assumed responsibility for a refugee resettlement group.  He has held many community roles including Chairman for the Catholic College Wodonga Advisory Board.  The knowledge and skills he has developed over the years have been applied to a diverse number of fundraising appeals and initiatives.

Zirka Yaskewych
Senior Consultant.

Since joining O’Keefe and Partners, Zirka has carved an enviable niche for developing and implementing high calibre fundraising programs that have evolved into some of the most instantly-recognised campaigns in the country.  Her specialities include general project management, event management, volunteer recruitment, trusts and foundation management and corporate sponsorship. Zirka has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Health Administration and her experience spans over 4 decades. Prior to joining the firm Zirka worked in the health sector.

Matthew Hannan
Senior Consultant

Matthew joined O'Keefe & Partners following a 12 year career at General Electric, where as sponsorship manager he was responsible for the Australian Open Tennis. Matthew has a strong focus on business returns, relationship management and innovative sponsorship leverage. Matthew has worked in event management, corporate communication, community-business partnerships and human resources.

Kathryn Pilson
Infrastructure Management

Kathryn has been with the company since 2003 and brings with her over 10 years business administration experience from leading blue chip companies such as Canon, Toshiba and Sanitarium Health Food Co.  She was employed by Sanitarium as a Quality Systems Co-ordinator where she managed the quality system in accordance with ISO9001:2000, HACCP and ISO 9001:2000 certification. Kathryn leads a team who responsibilities include campaign establishment, infrastructure, database development, prospect research and program reporting.
